Short shelf life products wholesale for online stores and retailers
Obsolete Trading Platform (OTP) is an online trading platform designed for marketplace sellers, e-commerce stores, small grocery, beauty and general stores, and HoReCa.
Short-term can be an advantage if you buy based on data
Shorter-term products can offer attractive purchase prices and high margins, but they require discipline. With OTP, companies purchase batches from manufacturers, verify the date, volume, and price, and then select purchases for their own rotation. Starting with a single outer carton per product, this reduces the risk of testing.

How to evaluate a batch before purchasing?
Check the date type
Determine whether the product is marked "use by" or "best before." In Poland, a food product can only be sold until the indicated date or time.

Count your trading days
From the remaining time, subtract delivery, acceptance, offer issuance and a safety buffer.

Estimate daily sales
Use data from a similar SKU, category, season, and channel. For novelty, assume a conservative scenario.

Set a minimum price
Include purchase price, marketplace commission, advertising, packaging, customer delivery, returns, and anticipated unsold units.

Buy volume to sell
Don't buy more than you can realistically sell by the due date. A generous discount doesn't compensate for unsold inventory.

How to communicate a short date?
Provide the date visibly before purchasing. Don't hide it at the end of the description. In brick-and-mortar stores, indicate the area and price, and online, add the date to the beginning of the description and supporting photo.
Transparency limits returns and builds trust.
